A very fine Queen Anne or early George I secretary bookcase in walnut and burled walnut. The top section with replaced Vauxhall type glass probably exactly copying the original. The inside with folio divisions, shelves and many serpentine drawers. The bottom with four drawers, a slant front exposing a secret sliding compartment, velvet writing surface and serpentine drawers. The drawers featherbanded, with early but replaced brasses. The feet and finials are also replaced. A marvelous example. SOLD
