A fine and rare William and Mary clock by London maker Daniel LeCompte. LeCompte was a French Huguenot clock maker who immigrated to England in the late 17th century. The clock has exceptional marquetry and the works are consistant with late 17th century clock works and clocks by LeCompte.There is a very similar clock by LeCompte at the Victoria and Albert museum. $22,500.00 CDN
