A George II Two-Handled Cup

A two-handled cup of large proportions by London Huguenot maker Ayme Videau. The bell shaped body rests on a stepped shape foot. It is made from heavy sheet silver and is flat chased in graceful shapes that are reflected on the cover.It also has an armorial under the rim.  It has double scroll handles and weighs 1556 g. and is 10 5/8 inches tall. The base has a full set of hallmarks, London, 1742, and the cover has a makers mark only. POA
